ที่ตั้ง: มหาวิทยาลัยตั้งอยู่ที่เมือง Colchester ตั้งอยู่ทางทิศตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของกรุงลอนดอน

สนามบินที่สะดวกในการเดินทาง: London Heathrow Airport หลังจากนั้นนั่งรถไฟมาที่เมือง Colchester ใช้เวลาประมาณ 2 ชั่วโมง

University of Essex ก่อตั้งขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี  1963 เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยรัฐบาลที่ใหญ่ที่สุดของเมืองโคลเชสเตอร์ (Colchester) ในเขตการปกครองเอสเซ็ก มีทั้งหมด 3 วิทยาเขตหลัก คือ Colchester Campus, Loughton Campus และ Southend Campus ปัจจุบันมีนักเรียนลงทะเบียนเรียนทั้งหมดประมาณ 13,000 คน และ5,000 กว่าคนเป็นนักเรียนต่างชาติ ปัจจุบัน มหาวิทยาลัยได้รับการจัดอันดับให้อยู่ที่ 32 จากทั้งหมด 130 มหาวิทยาลัยโดย The Complete Universities Guide League Table 2024

เกณฑ์การรับสมัครระดับปริญญาโท

• จบปริญญาตรีเกรดเฉลี่ยสะสม GPA 2.50 ขึ้นไป
• IELTS Requirement: 6.5 (Writing 6.0 other scores 5.5)
• ยกเว้นการสอบ IELTS สำหรับนักเรียนที่เรียนจบหลักสูตรนานาชาติ

กรณีที่ผลคะแนนสอบ IELTS ไม่ถึง สามารถเรียนคอร์สภาษาอังกฤษเพิ่มเติม กับทางมหาวิทยาลัยได้ ดังนี้

คอร์สปรับพื้นฐานทางด้านของภาษามี 2 แบบให้เลือกคือ

Pre-sessional English Language with Study Skills (PELSS) programme เป็นโปรแกรมการฝึกอบรมแบบบูรณาการในภาษาอังกฤษเชิงวิชาการและทักษะการเรียนเพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมสำหรับการเข้าศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาตรีและปริญญาโทของมหาวิทยาลัย มีให้เรียน 10, 15 และ 20 สัปดาห์ซึ่งเป็นการปรับปรุงคะแนน IELTS ให้เทียบเท่ากับ 0.5, 1.0 และ 1.5 ตามลำดับ

Pre-sessional English Language (PEL) programme เน้นเรียนเพื่อพัฒนาทักษะพื้นฐานภาษาอังกฤษในเรื่องของไวยากรณ์ คำศัพท์ การอ่าน การเขียน การฟัง และการพูด มีให้เรียน 5 และ 10 สัปดาห์ ก่อนเริ่มเรียนระดับปริญญาโท

Pre-Masters Programmes

โปรแกรม Pre-Masters ที่ University of Essex เป็นหลักสูตรสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ รวมถึงนักศึกษาไทยที่ต้องการเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาโทที่ประเทศอังกฤษ แต่ได้เกรดเฉลี่ยไม่ตรงตามหลักเกณฑ์การรับสมัครที่ทางมหาวิทยาลัยกำหนด ซึ่ง Pre-Masters Programme จะเหมาะสำหรับนักศึกษาที่ต้องการปรับพื้นฐานทางด้านวิชาการและภาษาอังกฤษ และยังเหมาะสำหรับนักศึกษาที่ต้องการจะเปลี่ยนสายการเรียนอีกด้วย

หลักเกณฑ์ในการรับสมัคร

• จบปริญญาตรีด้วยคะแนนเกรดเฉลี่ย GPA 2.3 ขึ้นไป
• IELTS 5.5 (at least 5.0 in all skills)
